Ghost

The word "Ghost" refers to the "spirit" or "soul" of a deceased person, or any spirit or demon.

Ghost are often associated with hauntings, which is, according to the Parapsychological Association, " the more or less regular occurrence of paranormal phenomena associated with a particular locality (especially a building) and usually attributed to the activities of a discarnate entity; the phenomena may include apparitions, poltergeist disturbance, cold drafts, sounds of footsteps and voices, and various odors.

Paranormal

Paranormal is a umbrella word to describe unusual phenomena

experiences that lack obvious scientific explanation.

Do's and Don'ts while Investigating

1. Keep a clear head. This means no alcohol consumption or use of any controlled dangerous substances.

2. No smoking. The possibility of it being photographed and mistaken for ectoplasm is high. Smoking will also alter your nose to any paranormal smells you may encounter.

3. Don't Trespass !! (This Means You!) Always ask permission to conduct an investigation.

4. Don't jump to conclusions. You always want to make sure you consider all possible, natural or otherwise.

5. Always research the history of the place you plan to investigate.

6. Remove the camera strap or wear it around your neck! Its amazing how ghostly a camera strap can become..

7. Clean and protect your equipment. All equipment must be cleaned and checked before every investigation.

8.  Always bring a flashlight, and extra batteries. Juice can be sucked from any of your equipment at any time during an investigation!

9. Bring your log book to keep track of your investigations and weather, moon patterns as well.

10. NEVER go alone. This ensures safety and good investigating, so that nothing goes unseen.

11. Keep a personal notepad. Write down your observations before sharing them, so that stories can have validation.

12. In cold weather hold your breathe when taking a photo, so that nothing is compromised in the actual photo.

13. Speak in your normal voice during EVP recording so that it is not mistaken for a spirit.

14. Respect the deceased!
